Fantastic Failures: MySQL Master-slave replication in containers

TLDR: I can’t think of a practical reason to do this, until the day I can instruct docker swarm, to never put these 2 containers on the same physical host. Even then, I hear volumes over NFS has horrid performance. I don’t have the budget or desire to experiment with iSCSI over fiber on all the physical hosts to have a fast access to common external storage volume for the database file. BUT if you want to do this, the instructions are below:

I’d rather spend money on fiber ethernet, to a outside shed, once I move to a place that I have both a living home and a outside shed. Otherwise your home ends up looking like a wiring closet. I know.
