I wanted to just scavenge someone else’s. WordPress seems to have a rather simple CAPTCHA scheme “english translation of a math operation”. Like most schemes, a determined programmer will eventually figure out some method of defeating the test, with a simple heuristic. Even identify this object picture schemes are defeat-able when the same images are used over and over.

Since I couldn’t scavenge someone else’s CAPTCHA scheme, I went with the ugly food captcha, since I assume beauty is still something that only human beings identify. Who knew me being shallow would actually lead to inspiration.

In a few days, I’ll post something for it. It’s actually a very easy code. The hard part, is identifying what is a universally ugly and what is universally pleasing.
