How things have changed...
I must never really have understood the problems that IT managers had, if I thought 20 years ago that Cloud technology was going to be a fading fad. Why would anyone but a fringe group of enthusiasts want to run several operating systems simultaneously on their computer. But here in 2023, a lot of companies are betting that pay as you go cloud services have business viability such as Microsoft's Azure all in one cloud offering, as well as Amazon's AWS. I've played with Google's PaaS offerings such as their mapping API's.
Here in 2023, I decided to augment my skill sets with Systems Administration skills at a program at British Columbia Institute of Technology. It is a program has good breadth in technologies you may encounter in the enterprise. But the last term, has many introductions to cloud related technologies.
